Our first month
Needless to say, we have not posted pictures in a long time. Everyone says that you have no idea how busy you will become once you have a baby. Boy are they right! This first month has been challenging, but getting to know our little man makes it all worth it. Here are some pictures of him, but don't let the shots fool you - he spends A LOT of time awake, especially at night!

Our first week
Here are some pictures from our first week...

Grandma Becky

Grandpa Ron

Our neighbors, Derek and Joannie, and their twins, Tristan and Gracie. The twins are two months older than Liam, but we anticipate that they will be great friends just like their mommies and daddies.
The cake they had made for Liam.
Lovely flowers sent by the Boedeker and Hamby families.
Yummy cookie bouquet sent by the Baca and Pick families.

Liam's Birth Story
As many of you know, I was induced on April 20 after it was determined that my fluid levels were low. We had a morning appointment with our Perinatologist after which time it was determined that I would need to go directly to labor and delivery for my induction. After 10 hours of labor, during the last few hours I made no progress. My doctor determined that in the best interest of Liam, I would need to have a cesarean section. It turned out that his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, so the c-section ended up being the best option for the baby's health.
The amazingly talented, Allison Duckworth, took the pictures for this most joyous event. Here is a link to the YouTube site where the slide show is listed. Click on the slide show to view the widescreen version on the YouTube website. Thanks for all the continued love and support.
