9 Months

At nine months Liam still has no real interest in crawling. But he loves to turn in circles on his stomach. His personality has really come through in the past month. He giggles/screams at the top of his lungs when he is excited. He tries to feed himself, although not very successfully as you can see below. He says "mmmm" when we feed him food.

His head is still in the 90th percentile and his weight and length are in the 50th percentile. It is hard to believe that he will be a year old in just a few months. I can't wait to start the party planning process!

Note Chloe's position in this photo.
She has a brand new appreciation for Liam these days.

New floors

Eric and I had been saving up for wood floors ever since we saw the havoc that two little dogs can wreak on cheap carpet. Throw a baby into the mix and its time to change the flooring. It is really funny to see the dogs run into the walls when they forget that they cannot stop as easily on solid floors. Liam loves the floors and the speed that he gets from chasing the dogs in his walker.

Liam, making the rounds with sock monkey.

Signs it is time to child proof the house...

8 Months

  • Liam now says "DaDa." That being said, everything is "DaDa," not just Daddy. This comes in especially handy when Liam wakes up at 5 in the morning on a Saturday. I simply lean over to Eric and say, "You have been summoned." I then resume sleep.
  • He now eats a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.
  • He turns in circles on his stomach.
  • He can hold his bottle.
  • He LOVES bath time and all the toys associated with it.
  • He attempts to feed himself...and the dogs.
