Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend Eric, Liam and I traveled to Wichita, KS to visit his brother and sister-in-law and our adorable niece and nephew. Liam is not what you would call...a great traveler. This is due in part to the fact that he refuses to sleep in the car. So when you have a kid that spends roughly 18 hours a day sleeping, who refuses to sleep, crankiness ensues. And once his sleeping schedule is off - WATCH OUT! Saturday night he probably did not sleep more than 3 hours total. Fortunately Sunday he was back to normal.

Eric's parents were able to make the trek from Albuquerque, so it was a fun filled weekend of hanging out with lots and lots of eating! It was another reminder of how much we miss our families. Everytime we see Holly and Sam, they seem to have grown and developed new skills. We are extremely blessed to have such great families and we look forward to the cousins growing up together!

Jolyn did an amazing job preparing the kids for their cousin's (Baby Liam) arrival. Sam was beside himself at the anticipation of meeting his younger cousin. It was hil-a-rious to see how loving both kids were, but especially Sam. As you can see from these pictures, he was pretty obsessed with touching Liam's head and giving him kisses and hugs! It was so sweet to see how much Sam and Holly both love Baby Liam. I am sure that Liam will look up to his two older cousins.
