Weekend fun

This past weekend started off with both me and Liam feeling cruddy. However, in an attempt to maintain some normalcy we decided to start the weekend by going to the McKinney Arts Walk in downtown McKinney. Local artists from around the area sold their goods around the old town square. And live musical artists played in different areas. We had some awesome coffee at a great coffee house and visited some friends who own a clothing boutique and have renovated this great old Victorian right off the square. We came home and Eric made us a yummy steak dinner.

On Sunday we took Liam swimming for the first time! This past spring has been so unusual weather-wise. Usually by now we are in the 90s. But this year we have had a great and long spring. The downside is that it hadn't been quite warm enough to go to the pool. However, this weekend we hit the low 90s and it was time to break out the swimsuits!

Our pool has a great area for kids with a splash section for the little kids.
Liam wasn't really sure what to think, but he tried to drink the water a few times!

He spent time in his floaty taking it all in. Here he is "sunning himself."

Starting to warm up to the water...

Hmmm. Maybe this isn't so bad.

While for now he is more confident outside of water, in time
I think he will learn to love the pool just like Mom and Dad.

We ended the weekend by watching LOST. Sniff. Sniff. For all you LOSTies it is bittersweet. But now I can move on with my life! I am not sure which show will occupy my time now. Maybe I should put my English degree to some use and read more books. But then again....Have a great week!

Hey! Taylor and I and a few other people are taking swim lessons this summer up in Allen (yes, Allen). June 22 through July 1 I believe on Tues and Thurs from 6:15 to 6:45; would you be interested? You have to sign up in person, and I don't know how many slots are left, but it would be fun for you to be there :) I think it's $40; I can double check the specifics if you're interested :)
