Pate's Full Circle: 10 Months

As usual, I am behind in blogging. We have had a lot going on here at Casa de Pate, but I wanted to give a little update on little Miss Ansley Claire. Over the past month Ansley has been on the go! She can't sit still for the life of her, and wants to be out of our arms and exploring. We have caught her in some funny situations, where she is standing and can't figure out how to get back down. She is closer every day to walking and has moved from a full fledged crawl to a bear crawl. She is absolutely into everything, finding holes in our child proofing efforts.

She still adores her brother but is more likely to stand up to him now when he bosses her around (which he does A LOT). He oscillates between adoring her and being exasperated with her. We are trying to create an environment of love and support between the two, but there are times that Ansley gets more attention from friends, family and strangers, and it leaves Liam feeling a little sore. But he can also be really sweet with her. For example, when she gets a bump (which she does a lot these days as a result of her adventurous spirit), he will kiss her, bring her toys and say, "It's ok sister. Liam is here."

Over the past month, Ansley has gotten her first two teeth. And the girl knows how to eat! She eats things that we still can't Liam to eat! She is mostly sleeping through the night, except for our recent trip to New Mexico. She also recently had her first stomach virus, following that of her brother. It was vomit-palooza around here for a bit.

Ansley is so sweet and ADORES her daddy. When he gets home she only has eyes for him. It is a joy to behold! Both kids start school soon and I am anxious for myself more than I am for Ansley! Soon I will be posting her 11 month pics! And before you know it...her one year shots!
