Updates...in no particular order

We close on our current house in about a week.  And while we will continue to occupy our home for a month as "renters", we still have no place to go!  However, I think that we are one step closer to finding a home.  We have been doing some mad house hunting over the past few weeks.  We have seen a whole lot of badness.  A whole lot.  For years I have watched shows like House Hunters on HGTV.  I always thought that I could see past peoples knick knacks and bad paint jobs.  But it is really hard!  And it is amazing that some people don't even pick up their chonies (underwear) or clear dirty dishes from the sink.

The good news is that we have narrowed down our search to one particular city.  And it is not the city we had initially planned on!  But it does put us closer into the city, which reduces our commute significantly.  The big problem we are running into is finding a house without a pool.  Truth be told, we would love a pool.  But for many of the homes we have seen, the backyard is all pool and concrete.  And with dogs and kids, you have to have some green space. But this last weekend we found a house that is a pretty serious contender.  This week we are talking with some experts to see whether there are any major issues with the house.  Keep your fingers crossed!

I am officially done with my first trimester. I am definitely getting larger way faster this second time around.  My OB joked that it is totally common and that "With the first pregnancy you don't need maternity pants until 16 weeks, with the second child you need maternity pants at 12 weeks, and with the third child you just live in your maternity pants." I can't tell whether I am getting back any energy though. I had horrible allergies which morphed into a sinus infection. So part of my exhaustion might stem from those factors.  Or from chasing after a very active toddler!

Liam is growing every day. My friend, Amy, took some 2-year pictures of Liam recently. I posted two of the preview shots and can't wait to see the rest!

Notice that Liam is still obsessed with sticks!
He started his early preschool class about two weeks ago and is really thriving.  He is learned all of these new songs and habits that are really cute.  And I like that they run a very tight, disciplined ship in this particular class.  He has a ton of fun, but they definitely don't let the kids get away with very much - a very difficult feat at this age.

Liam LOVES Playdough.

Random cakepop bouquet that I got at work!  So yummy with red velvet, chocolate raspberry and yellow cake flavors.
 Now for more randomness:

We have a little bunny that has been frequenting our backyard.  It is super tiny and we have to be careful not to let the dogs in the yard without checking for our furry friend first.  Also, a few days ago a mama duck and her four duckings took residence in our front bushes.  Eric nearly got attacked when he tried to go outside not knowing that the family of ducks were only a few feet away!

Any how, not that I am very good about updating the blog these days anyway, but at some point I do suppose that I have to start packing our lives up.  I fear that I won't be much help to Eric in the whole process.  So you may hear from me now and again.  And then again you might not!  I guess it depends on how badly I am procrastinating with packing!
