As you can see, I have been a lazy blogger. We have had a super busy month with too many little dramas to count. Among the highlights were selling our home. And lots of packing. I am afraid to say that I have been very little help to Eric as I can't lift great amounts. And packing with a toddler has been...challenging. Liam is very much at that stage where he wants to help with everything. He glows when he receives praise for helping and so it is difficult to deter him from the most simple tasks like moving boxes that don't need to be moved, attempting to use the packing tape dispenser and marking boxes with a permanent marker. Still, little by little we are packing, selling off needless items, and purging ourselves of things that we are not sure of why we kept in the first place.
I always assumed that selling a house would be the most difficult aspect in all of this. But really, finding a new home has been a lot harder. And part of that stems from living in a newly built house to looking at houses that are in need of real TLC. But we also realize that the trade off of living in closer to the city means making concessions in other areas. Our first offer on a house was met with a lot of difficulty. In the end we were at an impasse with the sellers and couldn't come to an agreement. Which meant that we had to keep looking for houses. And looking. And looking. 30+ houses later, we are under contract for another house. Hopefully things will all come together, but in the meantime we have to be out of our current house in about a week. Meaning that we will be taking up residence with friends for about a week or so.
In baby news, I have been really bad about documenting this pregnancy this time around. I have a little more energy in my second trimester and I have been feeling pretty good. As a result of a minor car accident we had on the 4th of July, I had a precautionary sono and found out that we are having a baby *GIRL*! While we would have been thrilled either way, we are excited with the news.
I will really try not to go so long before blogging again, and hopefully when you hear from me again, we will have a home!
