Three Months

Within the past month Liam has been:

• Returning social smiles
• Reaching for objects
• Giggling
• Sleeping longer stretches of time
• Holding his head up
• Following voices with his eyes and turning his head
• "Talking"
• We also saw his bottom teeth during the barium swallow test x-ray and he has been drooling up a storm

This past week was my first week back at work. It is definitely a challenge to see Liam mostly at night. Sometimes when I leave in the morning he is still sleeping, and we are trying to abide by the mantra "Never wake a sleeping baby." Although there are times where I have been very tempted! I am struggling a bit with trying to balance the feeling that I am a good mom, wife, family member, and employee, but I know in time we will all find our stride.

While it is definitely hard to be away from Liam, I feel reassured that he is in very good hands with his Daddy. They have a really amazing bond, and Eric is so attentive and caring towards Liam that I find myself falling a little more in love with him every day!
