In our household, we are big fans of dessert. For Liam's first birthday he wanted absolutely nothing to do with his birthday cake and repeatedly shunned our attempts to even sneak icing in his mouth. As a result, we had none of those great first birthday smash cake pictures. However, in true Pate fashion, Liam has now become a big fan of an after dinner treat. Random side note: Eric bought Liam Strawberry Nesquik the other night, which was a big hit! We also had to have a little bit ourselves for quality control purposes. I don't think I had had this tasty drink since I was about seven years old!
Most nights he is content with a piece of fruit, but occasionally he devours whatever treat we put in front of him. Just so you know, Liam is perfectly capable of using a spoon to eat his food. But just because he can use utensils, doesn't mean he will when something truly captures his palate.

I'm glad to see his sweet tooth has fully developed. It's an important aspect of being a Pate! And by the way, I eat my ice cream like that when no one is looking. You can't waste it!
