It is this tour where they invite several other realtors in the area to chip in a certain amount of money towards an i Pad to have their house on the tour. Then they invite realtors from all over the metroplex for an open house. At each house the realtor visits they get a ticket for a drawing for the i Pad. So the more houses an agent visits, the greater chance they have of winning the big price.
Great news, right?! Well, it was followed by the news that the i Pad tour would take place on Friday morning. Yikes! Since we had let our house fall into "disrepair" we had a lot of work to do on Thursday and Friday nights. Eric and I keep our house generally picked up, but there are certain things that having a toddler and two dogs make it hard to do. All three of them track in a lot of grass onto the wood floors. There are constant smudges on the windows and appliances, dusting is daily occurrence, and the laundry is not going to launder itself. Mowing our lawn around the rain was a challenge. To complicate issues, Eric and I both had to work longer hours this week with little opportunity to run errands at lunch. So our "free" evenings were filled with lots of cleaning and getting Liam fed and put to bed.
We ate more takeout than we should have this week. I also felt bad because I tried to teach Liam how to dust and change his own diaper. No such luck, but it was worth a try. We also had to find a place to stash the dogs on Friday, no easy feat. Fortunately they both needed to be groomed and Petsmart takes a lifetime to do it. So yesterday was the open house. I am still not sure how it went, and I couldn't tell from the shoe prints in the carpet. So that is why there were so few blog posts.
And the craziest part? We are part of baby sitting co-op once a month. Several friends and I all take turns baby sitting each others kid. So on your night you might be watching 7 kids, but then you get like 5 date nights in exchange. Eric and I look forward to our time together, to reconnect and enjoy life. We were sooo tired yesterday and the trains from downtown weren't running due to a power outage that we opted....for a night in! We gave up our one night a month to go out to sit on the couch and drool all over ourselves! I hope your week was a good and relaxing one.
